Penthouse unit at Horizon Towers up for auction at $6.8 mil

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - A six-bedroom penthouse apartment at Horizon Towers along Leonie Hill Road in River Valley has been put on the market for $6.8 million ($1,385 psf). The unit will be sold with vacant possession. According to ERA director Carol Quek, it is the first time the owner has put the property up for sale. It was on the block on April 25, but there were no bids and the property was withdrawn.
The penthouse, which occupies a floor area of 4,908 sq ft, comprises six en suite bedrooms across three levels. It is located on the 19th storey of the development and has a private swimming pool on its top floor.

Brenda Zee, ERA’s senior executive group division director, says the unit stands out for its spacious size and prime location in District 9.
Horizon Towers is within a short distance of the CBD and Orchard Road. The nearest MRT station is the Great World MRT Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line.
The condo has 211 units across two 19-storey blocks. It sits on a 1.9ha plot (204,516 sq ft) and has a 99-year lease from 1979.
In February last year, the condo owners made their fifth collective sale attempt at the reserve price of $1.1 billion or $2,049 psf per plot ratio. However, there were no bids.
The latest transaction at Horizon Towers was for a 2,314 sq ft, four-bedroom unit on the 12th floor of one of the blocks. It changed hands for $3.124 million ($1,350 psf), based on a caveat lodged on April 11.
