CDL tops bid for Tampines site

City Developments submitted the highest bid of $370.1 million among the nine bidders for the residential site at Tampines Avenue 10. The bid translates into $565.40 psf per plot ratio based on the site’s maximum gross floor area of 654,553 sq ft.

CDL says if it is awarded the site, it will look at developing an 800-unit project in a 15-storey tower. All units are expected to have a North-South orientation and there will also be a childcare centre within the site.

Kingsford Development tabled the second-highest bid of $350 million, followed by Qingjian Realty, Nanshan Group, Greatview Investment and CSC Land Group (Singapore), a subsidiary of China Construction (South Pacific) Development Co.

The site, released for public tender under the confirmed list of the 1H2017 GLS programme, is estimated to be able to yield 715 private apartments. It is located between The Alps Residences and The Santorini. Both projects are by MCC Land and are under construction.
