With a land area of 11,000ha, the East Region is the smallest and second most densely populated of the five regions in Singapore. The region is a key aviation hub, housing the Paya Lebar Air Base and Changi Naval Base. Major airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Scoot and Jetstar also has their head offices in the area. Other major economic activity includes manufacturing, with industrial estates in Bedok, Changi, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Paya Lebar. Changi Business Park also hosts a number of MNCs such as Standard Chartered and IBM. Going forward, the government has plans to create more semi-conductor and aviation-related jobs at Tampines North, Pasir Ris and Changi. Aside from the bustling economic activity, residents benefit from a wide variety of green and play spaces in the region. Residents will also enjoy increased connectivity to other parts of Singapore with the upcoming Cross Island Line and Thomson-East Coast Line.

"The project is like a S-shaped castle with a large courtyard and a swimming pool in the loops of the S shape. It is next to Bedok canal which is scheduled to achieve its ABC (Active, Beautiful, Clean) ideals within the first half of 2021. Chances of the project going en-bloc remains low in my opinion. My reason is that the plot ratio is the lowest in Singapore with 99 year leasehold tenure, Many residents are actually not looking forward to redevelopment as the project is a very pleasant condominium with only 268 units sitting on a plot of land as big as a newly completed project nearby with 700+ units. "

"The architecture is European and is low rise with white as the dominant colour. It is next to Bedok canal which is now undergoing improvements and hopefully, in a few years time, will be accessible by residents to enjoy the true beauty of a canal fed with water from the sea. "

"Transportation will improve tremendously in 2 to 4 years time with the addition of the TEL. Amenities will also improve with the provision of ABC - activities, beauty and clean - in the waters of the Bedok river canal. With the new infrastructure, shops and services are expected to grow by leaps and bounds to support the growing population in the area. I have high hopes that the value of property would be very good. However, whether Stratford Court is an en-bloc potential remains to be seen as many living in the condo are family and elderly. There would be a reluctance to move. Furthermore, this condo's design is unique and special. Many visitors have been inspired by the beautiful place with well manicured gardens and a practical pool shape and size. Another reason holding back the en-bloc potential is that the condo has the lowest plot ratio in Singapore and this might be a good thing for the families and elderly who may wish for a longer stay here. "

"A good mix of local and foreign families. Some use the units as a stay over during their visit to the island. Being only 268 units over a sprawling 25000 plus square meters, the facilities are not overwhelmed during weekends or even school holidays. The up and coming Bedok canal improvements next to it promises a great future of beauty and adventure nearby. A viaduct will be constructed to link it to the regional MRT interchange at Tanah Merah. It would be a pity if this location is not fully exploited for its proximity to transport links including the airport and ferry terminal, food places, schools, polyclinics and hospitals, Expo, East Coast Parks and many such fun places. However, looking at the generations of family living here and the vibrancy of selling and buying of units during the last two years, it would probably be quite a while before an en bloc sale would be possible. The fact that it is only has a plot ratio of 1.4 would also reduce the attractiveness to developers. "

"Beautiful and quaint architecture with very well-maintained lawns and courtyard. Immediately feels like you're transported into a posh old-school country club. Lovely vast grounds (unlike the newer developments that are densely packed together) and a mere 7 mins stroll to Tanah Merah MRT."

"Very English styled condo, its Low rise and Low density with only 268 units. Most of the units are large and spacious by todays standards from 915-2110 Sqft, parking is in the basement and facilities include an swimming pool with jacuzzi, barbecue pits, tennis court and childrens playground. Walking distance to Tanah Merah MRT station which is about 7-10mins walk."
