CEL Global Investment Fund completes first closing

CEL Global Investment Fund, a private equity fund sponsored and managed by China Everbright, has been established and completed its first closing in 2Q2016 with a total capital commitment of about US$264 million ($355 million).

The fund will invest primarily in equities and equity-linked securities of companies established in North America and Europe. In general, the investment targets will have proven operational track record and a sound business model, with their core focus on the China market.

US-based Burke E Porter Machinery Co, a provider of intelligent manufacturing equipment and solutions, is the current portfolio investment of the fund. The fund is available only for investment by professional investors, as defined under the securities and futures ordinance.
